Fantastic. Reminds me of my little fella. They seem so smart - the way they look at you.

How is he settling in?

RE: Our new beardy

He is 6 months old, seems to be settleing in ok, and I got it from a pet shop (first one I have seen latley where all animals seem to be really helathy, cages were abit messy though )so I am not sure of its parentage.
I wanted to try to get the missus into herps and I thought this would be perfect.....what's easyier to look after with the most personality.....seems to be the beardy (going from peoples opinions from this site and alot of reading) so thats what I chose for her! Seems to be working too. I'll have her looking for her first snake in no time hahahaha!

RE: Our new beardy

what other herps do you have jarvis?

A snake is much easier to look after than beardies IMHO but i agree with the personality thing though, they are full of it!

2 coastles, a childrens, 2 marbled gekkos.
If the beardy is half as easy as the pythons I won't have any worries.

Just a question to every one......What has more personality Snakes or lizards.
I was on the side of snakes (i have only kept the gekkos before) but after 1 day with the beardy I am starting to turn. Dont get me wrong I still love the snakes and my 7 foot coastle Jake the Snake will always be my favorite....but Willbaa (beardy) has been really somthing different. Maybee just the novelty thing. either way I will be getting more dragons and hopefully a few monitors in the future.

That's my plan too. - I have come home early and have found them both on the couch watching TV - so my plan appears to be working

The next step will be to buy a couple of hatchies and tell her that "spike" has had a babies (oh yeah - their "legs" don't appear till there first shed....)

RE: Our new beardy

lol good luck with that one alexr.

well i have two snakes and 2 beardies and in the short time I have had them I would say the beardies have 10 times the personality of the snakes, I think snakes have the interesting and mysterious factor, whilst the beardies are just plain fun!

Goodluck with him anyway
