painting insides of enclosures

My new 4 bank enclosure will be redy soon. The way is was gong to set it up was the bottom two would have one of them rocky 3D backgrounds with the waterbowel and all, the top enclosure would be the next step in hight with a sunset backdrop and the top would be the sky, i was planing to paint the inside of this enclosure blue but was worried that maybe the paint myt some how be bad for the snake. Has anyone painting the insides of enclosures before, is there a certain type of paint i should use.
