I use party Globes to heat my enclosures at present and Im wondering if anybody has done the research into finding a particular breed of Party Globe (both 25 and 40watts) that lasts longer then the rest?
Im using currently Phillips globes from bunnings which are no where as good as your normal every day house globe, and Im considering about doing an experiment on different breeds of globes but hopefully one of my fellow Earthlings will save me the time........ .
Knowledge?

I love spanners and havent thrown one into the works for a while. So i may as well here.
This statement regarding the coloured party globes, is actually incorrect.
It is a popular myth though.
Not going to go into the whole spectrometry thing here, but yeah, there is my spanner for the works.
If anyone is that keen to know email me sometime |

On average though i probably get 3-4 months out of a globe. I have had mixed results with crompton, sometimes they only last a week or so, some have lasted a couple of months but never any longer. | | | |
