Perlite versus vermiculite for Womas?

Been doing a bit of reading on incubation methods for Womas lately as my two have been tail tangoing, so I'd like to hear anyones experiences with using perlite over vermiculite. I believe woma eggs are more sensitive to humidity and particularily after reading Simon Stone's views, am thinking of trying perlite instead - either that or a drier ratio of 60:40 with vermiculite. I'd like to hear of other's experiences with either, any thoughts?

i use vermiculite for everything and never have a problem, i also go 60/40 for everything, as its best to be a bit drier than too wet.

Thanks Rob, I have not heard of anyone else using the perlite either untile I starting researching this in particular, I think I may do the same with the vermiculite, however, if anyone else has used the perlite, I would love to hear your experience.

That's funny because I hatched out the original woma-ball python mutation on perlite, three years in a row Not this is not a joke it is for real.

I hatched the "woma" mutation of the ball python while living in West Africa. Notice the dash not x between my words

I don't understand, what do you mean the "woma mutation of the ball python", could you elaborate please, do you have any pics?
May I ask what ratio you use?

Try the NERD website I think www.newenglandreptile.com Kevin may have pictures. Basically it is very similar to the spider mutation.
I showed photos a few months ago at the Qld herp meeting. Unfortunately I have not got around to scanning all my slides.
OK found a photo

Sorry just saw the Q about ratio, forgot what it was back then ( a few years ago) I always go with feel on both vermiculite and perlite. Basically I add water according to what feels right to me.

yeah i never go by weight only by feel, but always keep it much drier than 50/50, which i recon is way to wet for alot of species.
