Perth dealer? INTL contract??

Just found this ad on petlink.com.au

http://www.petlink.com.au/Classified.../sale/612.html

I think this fella needs to contact CALM before he gets into trouble.

Hang on.
Mel went to Perth and got engaged.
Is she totally nuts.
She should be buying herps and sorting out export permits.
Bloody hell!

Hi Brunzwik, If you acquaint yourself with the situation in WA you would appreciate why this occurs.
Where do you think all the original stock for the animals we have now came from?

Its not exactly dodgy as this imply bending of the rules or illegal.
The problem facing WA herp keepers was that there was no stock available when private licensing was introduced.
The takers are required to have a lot more than a couple of bags for collection.
Dodgy would be more apt to describe the NSW system that had people register animals that didn't exist who then went out and caught them.

Hey West Aussie, good to see you are still around, I though you had vanished
I missed catching up with you when I visited Perth, had a good look at the Swan Valley Reptile Park (??) and a great chat to Gayne.

The situation is real good in West Aussie as there have been several herpos from up our way that have made the move over there, leaving their reptiles behind to be cared for by "significant" others. Be interesting to see how their collections have expanded in a few years to come.
