Photos and Pythons!

Hey i just wondering if anyone had any advice on taking photos of pythond clos up use when i go for a front on close up pic of my diamond its always blury and the flash is to strong or something it like im taking a pic of the sun its so bright : 0

I especially like using a digital SLR set on Macro and using a flash (to remove shadows) in direct sunlight. This way enhances the colours of the animal as well.

Also, try to ensure the subjects eyes are in focus. This will give the impression the whole photograph is actually in focus.

The hardest thing to do when photographing a moving object using macro is controlling the depth of field and the focal length. Put up a couple more photos or PM me and I can give you more detailed info mate. My wife and I are professional photographers and are more than willing to help.

If you like (and for the betterment of others) I can critique your photographs on the forum. Or I could do this in private if you like.

Your focus point is not on the snakes head or you are too close, both these will cause fuzzy overexposed shots

I am also getting frustrated at the lack of ability to take decent pics of my snakes(only got cheapish camera too though) Any comments would be helpful

Cheap cameras are good as well. You just need to do a little bit more work to get a better picture.
