how big was the vitticeps. mine seem small compared to any other adults i have seen.

Sandy was about 1.4m TL
The bigger sand monitors would stand their ground and be quite inquisitive. Smaller ones would do a runner.

The bearded was about 25-30cm SVL. That was a female. If you look at her belly it is bulging and she is warming it on the road.
