Hey, havent posted for a while so I decided to put this pic up and see what people think of it. 
Sure "field-guide" like photos are good, but I was trying for something different in this one, hopefully something a bit more "dramatic" and/or "creative". Feel free to critique

LOVE IT! The skink has so much detail and i love the shadow behind him, and how the background goes blurry, so you focuson the skink. Nice photography!

Great pic Steve!!! You have worked the background well, and I am guessing you took the shot with a digital camera, so making the background slightly blurry is a good effort (digital makes everything "in focus" unless you do some focus trickery).
