I have noticed that it varies.
An olive that ate a small rabbit 2 days ago pooed the next day then ate another small rabbit yesterday.
One of our new diamond hatchlings ate on the 1st and still hasn't pooed, the other ate on the 2nd and pooed the next day.
I guess like humans they go when nature says its ready.

Yeah as Little said, it can vary greatly, has also to do with activity and temperature therefore the metabolism at the time.

woh would that suggest that they are not digesting properly thus not as healthy as they could be?

Ive got a gooooood herp vet and he says it can happen if you feed them rats.
Rat fur is course(I spelt it with an 'a' but it cancels it out!) and can clog up in a snake.
Mice fur is soft and goes straight through.
Living proof his argument is true (with rats).
Im onto mice food for me snakes the next few months.
