poor bluey

a while ago i came into possesion of a blue tongue that had been hit by a car. somebody found it and they gave it to me. It is brain damaged and blind. Is it illegal to keep this lizard because it wouldnt survive in the wild

I'm with Gordo,
ring the local authorities on the subject. They bound to know proper procedures.

RE: poor bluey

Did ya check up with a vet for that ??
IMO choking sounds and refusal of food would urge me to a vet.

RE: poor bluey

I'd take it to the vet it might be in pain and if not its quality of life probably isn't very good so it might have to be put down.
Vets usually don't charge you if its a wild animal.

You bet me to it, maybe let people know what area you live in and someone may be able to do it for you.
By the way good on you for taking it on

RE: poor bluey

Jordo's suggestion seems fair enough.
You might know somebody that takes heart to animals too and will take it to the vet for ya .
Nice thinking Jordo !!!!
