Today was our 3rd public competition which is basically just a way for the club to promote public awareness. ( I spelt it write that time)
The reaction from the public was great. So many people asked to touch the snakes but we are not allowed to get them out of their cages.
The club is running a raffle for a coastal, a shingleback and a green tree frog.The winner is required to get a license within 8 weeks. We sold heaps of tickets. We also have the public vote on their favourite animal displayed and make a coin donation.They get the chance to win a $50 voucher and the club members with the most votes also get vouchers.
There is a guessing comp with a jar of snakes and a jar of frogs.
The public were also lucky enough to witness a pair of Blue Belly Snakes mating.....and mating.....and mating some more.
We had quite a few people ask about how to get a license and we have license applications there for them to take away.
We still have to do it all over again tomorrow!

Sam, it's down at the Marketplace, it's pretty easy to find. We will be there from about 8am.
Mick, the tickets are $2 each and it is drawn on 20th November.
