can any one help me with time frames

like as Ive mentioned in other posts I think my coastal gravid had shed a while back . Not interested in eating at all , has become very aggressive over the last week !

Isnt late re time of year for them to lay
Or is norm for late breeding / laying ?

RE: python breeding ?

It isnt too late. Ive had pythons lay in late December. The time between mating and ovulation depends on how many times they mated. Supposing they mated in late August through to the end of September, then she should go into ovulation in late October.

The pre lay shed is usually 25-30 days before egglaying. But this can depend on several things. For instance, pythons kept outside can stay in the opaque phase of shedding a day or 2 longer than pythons that are indoors, making their time from prelay to laying longer. 31 days is the longest ive seen a python go.
If she shed this month or last, start counting down the days until about 28 days have past. At this time she should be very firm where the eggs are in her body and ready to lay. She should lay in late December. For carpets the incubation time should around 54-56 days. The hatchlings will slit the egg and just have their snouts poking out for the first day and then fully emerge.

And remember barney, good herpers keep records !!
