QLD v WA

dose anyone know the differences between the Queensland recreational licence and the Western Australia licence. If you move from one state to another do I have to get a new licence in that state or will it just be transferred and are the reptiles aloud the same or will I have to get rid of some of my reps?

Laws are different here, we're restricted tp 41 species from memory. No pythons can be brought in whatsoever but you can bring in lizards and Elapids. Search the Department of Environment and Conservation in google, the info is there.

Usually you do have to get a new licence. I have heard that you can cancel your Qld one when moving, get reimbursed the amount left on your current licence and then re-apply in the new state. If I can I will try to find where I read that.

No pythons, but you can bring over any gecko, monitor, dragon, skink or Elapid species we have on our license. Youd have to organise the appropriate category license before moving the animals though.

Im in the process of applying for a licence now and did see something on the application about this. Im sure there are restrictions about what reptiles you can bring in and that it does apply to lizards etc as well. Ill try and look it up now and link the exact details.

Is there something unclear about this?
