Footy?? Is there footy happening next weekend in Melbourne??

Just off the top of my head Arthur's Seat comes to mind, ...while hiking to the top (leaving vehicle at the bottom, nice climb through the bush) or drive up and hang out at Seawinds Gardens we have come across Beardies, Echidnas. You may have to listen to a variety of music while at the top of Seawinds Gardens as there are usually a wedding or two happening at the time But the guests do not seem to mind watching a couple of people on their hands and knees looking through bushes etc..

A lil closer to the city...Walking through Jells Park one day (all alone, no one to share the excitement) I came across a beautiful Tiger Snake...it was so awesome!
I will check with Daavid and see what he thinks is good reptile land as he is on his bike most of the time ....

Great camouflage...Here are a few pictures of the Eastern Beardie I was telling you about in Seawind Gardens on Arthurs Seat...Mind you this was taken in March when it was alot warmer than it is now...

Okay everyone, can you spot the Eastern Beardie in this 1st photo?

Some of the herps are starting to wake up. One of our ELN turtles has started to become more active so you might be lucky and see some in the wild.

If you go via Ballarat take out an hour or two and check the Ballarate Wild Life Park. Their collection of native australian reptiles is very impressive and better than most of the zoos etc. Assuming that you are driving back on Sunday it would be a good place to break the journey and take an early lunch.
