Question for Turtle owners

I have tina my baby Turtle, I like to take her outside to get some natural sunshine. Well today Tina and I were sitting on the grass and Tina was having her little walk around ( like she always does), when this BIRD SWOOPED at her, I almost had a heartattack., I mean it was close.
I'm not some idiot that didn't think birds would do that, I was just shocked that it did that with me right next to her. So now I am thinking of buying something to put her in while she is outside so that won't happen again ( I will still be with her).
What do others use, I was thinking of a Guinea pig cage with NO bottom.
Any Ideas ( not sure if this question has been asked before, so please keep in mind I am only new here)
Cheers
Bek

thats would have given you a fright, guinea pig cage chouls work but tina may try to climb up the sides and fall, wont do her harm as they aint real tall but you still worry, a big plastic tub with a wire top should work.

It did, I really freaked. You say a tub, should I cut away the base ( so she is on the grass)and just make a wire top ( or mesh) for it?????

I put my accies in one of the herp terarium mesh things. And with in 30 seconds of me putting them in and me standing right their a kookaburra flew down and landed on the terarium trying to check things out. It didnt seem to be phased by me until i shewed it off

That's one thing i'm REALLY worried about when taking out my Bredli in the backyard. Not too worried about most birds, but I always hope there's no kookaburras around.
