Quick Question

Hi guys, just have a quick question one of my female lace monitors started to lay her eggs for me yesterday, I noticed that she had pierced one of the eggs with her claws, im just wondering if it will still survive, its in the incubator now but has anyone else come across this before and has the egg survived for you, will it close back up? thanks…………

Congrats on the clutch, how many eggs did she lay?
It probably depends how big the pierce is, I've had beardy eggs that have been damaged and healed up again to hatch without a problem but they were only a small breaks in the shell.
Goodluck.

Hey guys, thanks for your replies. Ill keep the egg in the incubator and ill see what happens. She hasn’t finished laying for me, I managed to put her in one of my spare rooms, I found the pierced egg up on a tree which was a bit bizarre but she is funny that way when she lays. She lays them all over the place and she takes about 3 to four days to lay them. So I have to keep her in a spare room so she can’t climb anywhere and destroy the eggs, ill update you guys at the end of the week and let you know how many she had.
