Radiant Enclosure Heaters

The herp shop sells some things called "radiant enclosure heaters" for heating large enclosures.
. I have two very large furniture cages(1800x1200x600) ,one for a pair of large diamonds and one for a pair of frill necks. The python cage is not a problem to heat as they do not require a lot of extra heat from my houses ambient air temp, but the frill neck enclosure is bloody hard to heat.at the moment ithas 2 or 3 150 watt spotties and a mercury vapour pretty much blasting all day and it has 2 ceramics and an infared all night. Aside from making my room look like the SCG the power bills are massive and the constant changing of bulbs is a nightmare.

Does any one here use these heaters from the herp shop? or does any body have any feed back on them. I have done a search and asked around but can find no info on them.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

cheers
Mark

P.s ifany body has any alternative gizmos that might help me out please let me know. Thanks

I've got two of the small ones about 30cm x 30cm. I was hoping to use them in 4ft x 2ft x 2ft cages for bredli, but they didn't produce enough heat to warm the cage (they're probably too small for the job) and the surface was also too hot not to cage off. I'd say they are pretty useless from my (very) limited experience.

However, you might find use for (a large) one if you were to mount it to the top of the cage, to bump up the ambient temps of the cage, then you may only require one spotlight?
