If you contact www.pro.products.com i believe they ask your enclosure dimensions & the room temp where your enclosure is etc, & they suggest one for you.

pete, i emailed matt at animal attraction today. I am planning on replacing my bulbs with their heat panels (50w). Enclosure sizes are 3x2x2 and 4x2x2, matt told me the 50w panels will create a basking spot of about 30-34C not a problem. if you are going to use a taller enclosure they recommend putting 2 panels in.

The 50W panels are $110, not bad considering the costs of a light fitting, bulb, cage and then replacement bulbs.

If you have any questions just email matt, he is really helpful.

Hi Pete12,

this might be a bit late, seeing you posted this thread 2 weeks ago, but you can get heat panels direct from Thermofilm in Melbourne. I use 160 Watt panels with a dimming thermo in my 4'x2'x2'. It's a bit of overkill but at $99each including delivery, you can't go wrong. Around 100W would be ideal, but 160W is the smallest they make.

Depending on ambient temps, you may find 50W too small. I use 40W in my Antaresia cabinets (2'x2'x2') & they hardly ever switch off in winter.

Pro-panels from the USA are the ducks guts, but they are a bit steep by the time you add freight. I have the pricing for them if you want to know about them.

Col J.
