Thanks for the reply guys.
Yes magpie the answer is small.

Glad to see that some people are still answering reptile questions instead of talking about girls, boys or beer.

Hoppers are a mouse size, not a rat size.

Nuthin wrong with girls and beer;. We supply pinks, velvets, weaners, mediums, and now and again large adults, xlarge, and jumbos.(really big ones) up to 600 gms. smiles etc, and hugs RR's

I would agree with Rodentrancher, the most common terms for rats are Pinkies, fuzzies, weaners, mediums(130 to 180grms), adults(180 to 250grms), large adults(250 to 400)grms), and jumbos(400grms upwards)

When feeding my pythons I try to mainly feed rats no bigger then 250grms. These smaller rats are normally lean with little body fat.
Once they reach jumbo size(ex breeders), they can be over 50% fat and I would only ever feed these to my Olives.

Hi bigguy, we don't usually worry bout fuzzies in our rats or mice , just pinks, velvets, weaners and then adults in the mice. Rats are pinks, velvets, weaners, mediums , then adults xlarge adults and jumbos. Now and again we might have some 100gm rats that have missed the post and we've grown em out that much more from weaner size hey?? Cheers Cheryl. PS. A lot of our Jumbos, might come from SA Venom for swaps in smaller sizes, when they change over their breeding stock. Only prob is some of theirs have blood on em as they dong em, where we gas ours with CO2 hey?? But guess the blood wouldn't be too much probs for the snakes???
