What a bummer. My wife and I will be in Melbourne Wed - Fri. We fly back Friday night to Sydney on 830 flight . Going to visit the zoo etc. Haven't been their for a few years now and my wife has never been to Melbourne at all. That's why we are going. Our lil holiday for her birthday. Love to stay another night but have to front for work Saturday morning.

Gotta see some herps while I'm there though, hence the Zoo. Any other suggestions close to CBD.

Cheers

Damian

Trader and I will (probably) be there celebrating out wedding aniversary ;-)

The Melbourne Aquarium has some croc's, and some turtles. (At least they did at Christmas time.)

The Melbourne Museum has some herps but they are local species and likely still in hibernation.

I think you will notice some differences. The numbers of attendies are a little less but the veues are different too creating a fairly intimate atmosphere.

Pizza has replaced all those sandwiches and other snacks which Brian and Lani used to make.

The speakers are of the same high quality and the auction continues to be entertaining even if you don't pick up a bargain. The other regular segments like the old "Herps Backyard" have also long gone.

Why have they gone? Can they be brought back? Sounds interesting
