Me too...
I rang them after I faxed it 6 weeks ago to make sure they recieved the fax & was told they had.
Rang them again this week to see how it is going as I need it ASAP for a purchase from the snake ranch + I need an import licence and they couldn't find my renewal application. So I re-faxed it out to them, rang up again & was told they had recieved it yet again & to call back the following afternoon to confirm it had been done (they were going to do it asap for me). Did as I was told but now everytime I call NPWS licensing department I get an answering machine stating they are backlogged and running very far behind. Still waiting for a return phone call and nothing has been charged to my credit card. Urghhhhh!!!

I love the EPA in Brisbane, when I applied for my licence it was 3 days before my sons birthday and i told them I wanted to buy him a snake for his birthday and in two days I had my permit in my hand.

Amazonizan, that is exactly what has happend to me, My licence expired in october 07 and I havent received anything. I sent a money order in with the renewal and I rang 2 weeks later, and they said they got it, they just have to proccess it, but they said because they received it, I could go about with all my buisness (purchasing and selling.) But I need an import licence to get a gecko from Sdaji. Well, 2 months later, and after 3 phonecalls, I get either: Your licence has expired and we havent received a renewal form...........OR.........Ring back in 2 weeks to see how its going....I've been doing that for the past 2 months and no luck with the bastards.

That place has to lift their game.

I'm in the Sutherland Shire, too. Mine took over 4 weeks to arrive, and it was torture having to wait for it before I could get my first python. It must have really sucked to have it arrive months late!

The offices are really overworked, they need to hire more people. And think... I have to send the bloody thing back in April...

It takes people in other states a couple of weeks to get sorted to import/export, but here it takes a few months....If we live in Australia, we should have Australian Reptile Laws, instead of state, that means, if I'm in NSW, and I want something from another state, I can just put the address in my records & be done with it. Be much easier and the government still has their licence system.
