As far as I'm aware, VIC, QLD, SA & WA can sell reptiles in shops. i don't know about NT & TAS

QLD CAN sell reptiles.....there are at least 3 shops in T'ville alone that sell them.

Not really, lol, our pet shops are pretty scrappy, and there is a VERY limited selection. It seems beardies, blue tongues and childrens pythons are about the extent of most shops range, and I have a feeling childrens pythons are pretty much the only snake they are allowed to sell......so everyone still buys off breeders or friends

Oh ok then... well i'll correct myself... Lucky Townsvillers, but not so lucky that they have an abundance of choices for reptiles from a pet shop.

ye in NSW no reptiles are allowed to be sold within the pet store, but at times you will find that you can purchase some from a breeder who is arranged to come into the store on a certain day and runs a course on reptiles after which you can purchase something. Otherwise the store owners breed the reptiles privately but sell them under the above system.
