I don't know how many of yous'e are like me and collect reptile books, but just having a look on e-bay and the 2000 ed of Harold Coggers Reptiles of Australia has 2 hrs to go and is up to $410 with 15 bids. Is this the norm or what. item # 170215574587

Coggers go for quite a lot nowadays. $410 isn't particularly high. The last edition of Cogger is still a very valuable reference because of the high level of detail the species accounts have. No books since published have that level of detail for all Australian frogs/reptiles. In saying that, I'm not sure I'd be willing to fork out that much money for one.

I wish I'd bought some extra copies when it was still in print.

That is a reasonable price for an excellent reference source.
The last time I looked at the price on www.amazon.com it was around the $1000.00 mark.

I got a Coggers for $50 at an AHS meeting a few months back. It was picked up from a used bookstore by another member.
