Does anyone have any pics (even pics in books they could scan) of the following python (any "boof-headed" species) parts:
A dorsal shot of a python's head showing all the scales.
A face-on/close-up shot of a pythons nose, heat pits, and cloacal spurs.
Hemipenes (I know different species have different ones, but any pics would be helpful for what I'm working on.)
Shots of opened mouths, various angles, showing teeth, trachea, all that stuff.
Close-ups of tongue-flickers.
Pics of pythons "brashing" (rearing back in the S-shape before a strike)
Any pics will be greatly appreciated, and I'll be sure to link curious people to the finished artwork/s when they are done. |

Main reasons for those sort of pink-bits pics is illustrations for an anatomy handbook, and the the other for fantasy/mild-erotica mythical snake portfolio. (if anyone's familiar with classic mythology, the Aztec diety "Coatl" is what I'm currently working on.) | | | |
