I've just been to the beach and picked up some smooth stones, like large river stones, to put in a childreni enclosure. My question is do I need to treat these in any way before putting them with the snake? |

harder igneous/metamorphic rocks wont do this - I use basalt rocks in some of my enclosures which also have a very small grain size/less porous and therefore easier to clean, plus the black absorbs heat very well.
it doesnt really matter - they just stay "dirty" but wouldnt be "unclean", you are just weathering the rock more when you wash it |
