Just wondering? The cages imported by URS? Are they a cheaper Chinese version? Wiretainers in Melbourne manufacture the same thing at similar AUD prices. Also where do the Herp Shop get theirs from? Australia or China. Cheers Cheryl

hey cheryl how are you, prior to stocking the URS cages we had them tested and found that they are stainless steel lids not a cheap alternative,
we did look around at other places to get our hands on these guys but they all seemed to use mild steel for the cage section (including wiretainers) we asked about getting them specially made in stainless but the price was out of control
Hope this answers your question

Ok thanks Matt. So the Wiretainer lids are not stainless? We've heard from one of the Uni's that to get stainless lids made will cost at least $110 each. Tres Expensive!

I don't think they get them from the same supplier as URS but I suspect the actual cages may orginate from the same factory.
These cages are good value. There design makes them easy to clean. I find them ideal for mice and ok for rats

Ok thanks heaps for that trader. Wouldn't mind being able to import a heap ourselves. Might be cheaper if we could get them from the manufacturer maybe? We've been trying a few unis around the place to see if we can get a heap of secondhand ones also. We aren't making our fortune out of this business yet, but badly need to expand to keep up with breeding and orders. Cheers Cheryl

I have been using the Herp shop tubs for about four or so years and even the original couple I started with are still in pristine condition.
