Scale Count Morelia

Is there a difference in the scale count between the various types of Morelia?

Sorry for not answering your question earlier tourett cause all of my books on snakes are at home.
It is difficult to find any concrete information on this subject online or in any of the books I have but it does seem that all of your Morelia Spilota species of python do have the same subcaudal scale count.
It seems that they also count mid-body row, ventrals and head scales when identifying a species, but I am not qualified to answer this question.
There are many more members of this site that have that sort of knowlegde who should be able to give you an idea.
Why do you want to know.

tourett thanks for your reply. For a while there I thought no one was going to reply at all.

I was curios as to if you found a Melanistic Carpet in the wild how whould you be able to determine what type it was?
Does it matter what type it was seeing that they are all Morelia Spilota?
