Serpent fodder features at the Melbourne Agricultural Show

I saw a snipit on the news this evening a new line of animals to be judged at the Royal Melbourne Show this year. Yup - you guessed it - Snake food - rats and mice.

What amused me was that the mice they claimed to have show winning attributes matched some of those that I feed to my pythons - nicely rounded ears, dark shading to the rump, ears, nose and feet... and of course tasty as :-)

The rats get judged on temprament and other factors and I recon mine would do well here also

Recently one of the mice tubs, that were in the queue to be fed off, got knocked over in the garage. (It is a long story.) Anyway the next day there they all were cuddled up in the shavings ;-) Live is so good for our feeder rodents that they chose not to run away ;-)

I find all my rats have a really good temprement...never bitten before. Might have something to do with the freezer they are in.
