Hi all,
From the time of a adult snake getting the milky eyes, how long after that will it take for the snake to lose its shed??

Cheers, Alan.

I've occasionally had them take 20 days or more, but yeah, 3-14 in most cases.

My bredli has milky eyes now and is about 7months old how long does it usually take for a juvenile python to shed???
Also is it ok if my python feeds during the shedding period?

That's why you need more than 1 snake, so you have one to cuddle while the other's shedding. Best to have 4 or 5 at least, just to be safe.

Yeh thats the one, 2 out of my 3 snakes are shedding at the moment. So i have one to handle.

Both of my snakes eyes cleared on about Monday so they should be sloughing in a few days hopefully for you Sherman.

Cheers Alex

If they are taking to long i give mine a spray of water when there curled up under the light, seems to work fine. I actually gave my Diamond a feed yesterday after 2 weeks of thinking he was going to shed (he had the cloudy eyes and everything) then he shed about an hour later?!

My python has never once refused a meal and it doesn't seem to have harmed him. I'd say at least offer and leave the decision up to the snake!
