They would have to one of the most stinky reptiles (when they poop)
When i had mine everytime i picked them up they pooped on me, and i was holding them properly too...
My beardies really disliked the shinglebacks.

Take a look at the skinks thread Chris. Plenty of nicer skinks than a shingleback (imo).

And yes, i've heard they're a stinky lot too.

I have two shinglebacks that I got since they were bubs cost me $100 each plus shipping but there beautiful. One of the most friendliest placid lizards. They love nothing more than to get a good scratch on there head, I can open my guys mouths with my hand and they don't care. One of them occasionally will pee on you if you pick her up and she gets a fright but this is just a defense mechonism and when they feel safe they stop this. As for stinky well I dunno there about the same as any other lizards I got to say the water dragons smell a hell of a lot worse then the shingles. Any poop will stink if you leave it sit. I think if you like them, get one they are a very nice lizard and easy to maintain. I'm actually going to be selling my guys very soon well all my lizards actually as I'm concentrating more on the snakes and don't have enough room for all the lizards.

You've already got 2 very tame and very lethargic lizards with your Dragons.

Personally, get something with character, Geckoes or Monitors should do the trick

Although, i'm sure you're going to want to cuddle them. Get some cute little Central Netted Dragons.

hehe, of course i'm gonna wanna cuddle them!

i'd love a monitor, but i live in a unit and i'd want a big one which i dont have the space fro,...
geckos aparently arent too big on cuddles from what i've read, gorgeous to look @ though,..

the central netteds are cute, i guess i should do a bit of reading about them,.

so is the 'stink' people are referring to teh defense mechanism pee, or the actual poop?

also, any idea on how long they live?
