Show us your Hypsilurus & setups!

I'm interested in seeing how every has set up for their Hypsilurus--both juvies and adults. Feel free show off your dragons as well :-)

Also, what substrate do you all use for your juvies? None? I'm thinking either none or paper towels.

I'm thinking I'd like to do a decent setup for mine once they're ready for an adult enclosure, including a waterfall & fogger, but the hatchies will have a fairly spartan setup.

-aspidites- i dont have mine done yet because i havent got my dragons yet but as far as my knowledge goes you can keep hatchies on palm peat with sticks on a 45 degree angle so yer um with the whole infection thing is that why you are going to keep them of paper towel.

That's exactly it :-)

I did see your post suggesting that the whole no substrate thing wasn't required, but I would prefer to err on the side of caution, at least until they're 6 months old.

The person who I am getting them off keeps juvies on no substrate at all, as suggested in the spinipes caresheet.

I was planning on doing the no substrate thing myself, but the more I think about it, the more I think paper towel may be better. I expect them to be little excrement machines, so I think it would be more hygienic to keep them on simple, disposable substrate, like paper towel.

Not to say that the no substrate method is any less hygienic, but I think it would be easier to ensure hygiene using paper towel.

Very nice set up, DrNick! Cute dragon too, looks like it has character :-)

Did you build that setup yourself, or buy it?
