here is a couple of my outdoor pit. It houses 2 central bearded dragons but i am looking at putting in either my 2 new dwarf beardies when they are older or maybe 2 water dragons, still thinking about that one. Measurements are: 3m across the back, 2m deep and 1.5m across the front, try imaging half an octogon. made out of colourbond left over from the house, bolted to 50mm box steel, you cant really see but one corner is completly covered for hiding spots when its raining, not that they use it unless its winter time. hope this gives you some ideas! also i used decomposed granite as the base, compacts almost hard, with some river rocks and normal soil for digging in different areas.
