hey all...
A friend of mine at work has a single female beardie....
its now approx 20 months old and laid 10 eggs yesterday, which is fine, BUT, she has never even seen a male let alone been housed with one!!!
How common is this?
Should she expect constant clutches?
Or is this normally a one off thing?
any comments appreciated!!!
Cheers!
Matt

its quite common as breeding season comes into action... better out than in, and leaving the owner and beardie to deal with egg binding etc.

yes they will be infertile if she has never been with a male they can hold semem from a male for a while so if you put a beardie with a male it may have been holding semen from another male as well and have his eggs too.
