Well usually they make the doors out of glass that just go in the runners, so if u give the dimesions to any glass shop im sure they can cut some to size.

Yes, be very accurate with the dimensions though, especially top to bottom.

I'd like to use hinged doors in future, with no 'lip' at the front of the cages, so you can wipe crap straight out of the enclosure into a bucket or something, rather than having to try and soak/pick it all up with a paper towel (like when they crap under the newspaper, or when you're removing breeder's choice etc etc). I'm just not sure of the best way to attach one to a melamine enclosure though. Do you have any pics of your cages TB?

I too prefer hinged.

Melamine + silicone + melamine edging makes a clean looking frame for the glass - check out http://www.herptrader.com.au/TiledEnclosure

by not having a lip on the front, any spillages or messy crap will most probably end up on the floor or the outside of the enclosure and I,m pretty sure all my snakes are plotting against me to try and do this.

Hinged doors certainly have their advantages if you own a table saw and have an ounce of craftmanship about you. But alas, us poor creatures need to do what we are capable of. And that means sliding doors.
