Slugs have likely been exposed to snail bait. Keep them away their evil.

i would not trust slugs but i know snails are fine if they have not been poisened, i use them all the time for my blue tongue. I am not sure about slaters as i have never heard of them.

Snails or slugs can be kept for a few days to make sure they haven't been baited, then freeze them for at least a week to elimintate parasites, like worms. Slaters are actually crustaceans, not beetles. They can be feed to lizards however they're mostly shell so they're only really good for giving the lizards a bit of crunch. I give slaters to the lizards if I find them, it's good to give them some chitinous food if they mostly get soft fruit/veg etc., mealworms are also good for this (come on, someone tell me how bad mealies are )

I would feed the slugs to the bluey and stumpy and the slaters to any of them.

My Beardie loves mealies!

They aren't highly regarded here but I think if he eats all his vegies as well then he is all good with them, and he likes the can 0 crickets things too!

..out of curiosity - why would you not feed slugs but feel fine with snails?

Slaters are fine for older beardies, my 9 month old loves them, he prefers crickets though as sometimes the slaters shell spikes his mouth...
