small monitors
i was wanting to know what small monitor i can keep in an enclosure 1m long x 50cm deep x 60cm tall, i am in nsw and have a class 1 license
or lizard except beardies, is it possible to keep blue tongue or shingle backs in it

i dont know about NSW classes, but how about gilleni? they are some of the smallest and a 1m enclosure should be great

V. gilleni
or
V. acanthurus

I wouldn't keep Ackies in there but I think Gillens could manage - I would choose a larger enclosure for them though...
...Gilleni are also the smallest Monitors availabe to Class 1 NSW. I would recommend at least a 4ft enclosure as Monitors are VERY active animals...

For adult size I would say it is too narrow for any of the species you have mentioned...
Have you considered a smaller dragon species like Central Netteds?
