Hi guys, I have done a search for them on this forum; however, cannot find any information on the best way in which to make a snake hook.
I am requiring the design for the snake hook itself.
I have already designed a telescopic rod, just need info on the hook part.
Thanks for you help.
Oh, could I have pictures please as they are a bi easy to understand, just an explanation of size, length, diameter of hook, etc..
Thanks again.

I use steel rod (6mm) costs about $4.00 pm. stick the end you wanna bend in the bbq and once its red hot bend it the way you want it with a large pair of plyers. Ive done this about 5 times and it works well.

If you are using the hook for elapids might want to be careful with a telescopic hook. I've heard of people who have tigers on the end of their hooks only to have it suddenly malfunction and slide back into itself. One second elapid is at a safe distance, next it's at their hands.

Herpshop have the stainless hookends, two sizes, and most op shops have golf clubs .
Cut the head of the club and then glue the hook in..under $10 to make and will last longer than any of the telescopic ones, which are useless in the field because the sand, dirt and grit gets into the 'sleeves".
