BUT, if I have no option then I would. If I can't move my loved ones or my dog from the situation without risk then I'd probably end up ending its life - but that goes for any animal. I can't imagine any circumstance where it would come to that though? I can't even think of an example where your only option is kill it or something or someone you love cops a bite.

you call an animal catcher they will come catch and relocate there is never any reson to kill anything
I'll remove them myself.

I meant if it is unable to be removed, I can't think of an example now but if the ONLY options are killing the snake or someone I love being bitten then I'll choose the former.

Same with any animal. If it is threatening me or my loved ones (dog inclusive) then I'll kill it if that is the only option. ONLY if there is no other way out... If I can remove the snake OR the ones in danger then I'll do so, but if moving them places them at risk I won't.

shovel swinging drop kick,:0

only problem is now he's more likley to chop thier heads off, we can only hope he learns not to kill them, if you don't want snakes around, have them relocated further away

Sadly many people are just brought up this way. All my mates from the country are amazed I paid money to keep a snake, because whenever a King Brown slithers into the yards they crack it like a whip, or break its back, or shovel it etc etc etc

There's no shortage of them out country though, so it probably doesn't make a huge impact on the population. Killing snakes in the inner city may have an impact as there a fewer vens here? I dunno, probably not because there's still bloody lots.

Food for thought, anyway.

Thats a little harsh, but I do agree in spirit..
Ignorance and fear are a sad thing..
I bet if someone killed their pet for straying, they would have a different view..

Hows this, a lady at Glouster had a red belly in behind her little fridge, so she pours boiling water on it.
Then calls in a bloke to help and he cuts its head off. I met the bloke a few days later and we got talking about snakes,so he told me the story. He had no idea what else to do. He didn't even know their protected species. He does now. And he now knows to make a couple of phone calls before he panicks and rushes in to save the little old lady next time.
