snake sheds real wet and oily so is snake

my snake just shed and its shed was real wet i mean wet driping doesnt look like water or pee real oily and so is the snake looks like baby oil is on it every thing is sticking to it eg: paper in its enclosure tried 2 wash it but keeps coming back oily is this normal

and is having trouble moving because of the oilyness of the snake
the paper is sticking 2 it cant move properly

Yes , skins when first done will be wet ,it is that way so it will come of its body , its not a great idea to be handling and washing it just after a shed , just leave it alone in future it will be fine ....

it is just strange none of the snakes have shed like that before including this one

place your carpet snake on a branch or some sort of perch(in the enclosure) and let it dry out naturally. good luck!

Is it a carpet? i just assumed it is .

It's normal and always happens, you've just never noticed it before as you haven't been there directly after it has shed before. Just let him be and he'll be fine.

still wet and oily sticking 2 every thing 8 hrs later going to vet at 5.20 today
