some stuff

Howdy guys, am having a rare lazy day today so thought I'd take a few photos. Am a complete computer illiterate and don't know how to throw up more than one pic per post though
Hope you enjoy.
First pic is a female stone bredli a year and a half old. The male is coloured same. Would you call them hypo do you reckon. Hypo = reduced melanin, so fits the bill if you ask me. Just asking as Simon himself seems to not use the term for them. I have a few other similar bredli that I've posted pics of before whenever a hypo bredli post pops up. All the same age so look forward to maybe getting a few bubs out of them in a couple of years time.

And here's a three year old jungle girl that I'm going to pair up with a similar male this year. I haven't bred jack yet, some of my critters are just starting to come of age this season so am looking very much forward to it!

Definitely reduced so they fit the bill I reckon, the black is still pretty evident though especially as you would expect toward the tail.
Does Simon breed any ugly snakes ? :-)

Hey Fishead,
Lovely little boyds - looks like you got a pair! The closest is definitely male, cant quite see the other well enough but looks female.
Sorry I havent put a pic of my male up, he is in brumation atm and my comp crashed wiping all pics for the last 6 mths, still trying to recover the others! Shall get some pics eventually up of him though!
Good luck with your little guys.
Cheers

Cheers Ad, can you give us some tips on sexing the boyds? They seemed to take a week or two to settle in but are now feeding well and seem happy. Here's their grow up enclosure. Boyds are on the right and there's a couple of spinipes on the left.
Howdy Boa, you're dead right there mate, all of Simon's stuff is top shelf hey. There's no black on them though mate, it's a deeper red towards the tail there.

Nice animals fishhead. I agree with boa on the Bredli, but there does appear to be a little bit of black beside the white near the tail. Still reduced though IMO.

Oh right, it's a little hard to tell from a smallish photo, they look nice though.

Fishead, its easier to tell as they mature, fairly obvious around 12 months or so. Look for the prominent white scales just above the dewlap on the one in your pic. That is the most tell-tale sign, the females seem to get a dusky pink colouration in that area instead.
The male has some nice stripes down his back - these will develop more as he matures and should look great.
He is also looking like having nice orange patches above that white scaling too. And great eyes, the colour give a real intense look!
With your enclosure, I would probably add a pot plant in the front middle to give them some seclusion, unless you have a very minimal traffic area for them. Also looks a bit dry, keep that moss wet. When I have them indoors, I use a water sprayer that you pump up first and just squeeze the trigger, makes life easier. Set-up looks ideal for them though,
Cool lizards arent they?
Cheers
