Greebo,
Well done mate I've asked for this on a few occasions and even thought about getting this under the freedom of information act.
Can I check though. Is this holdings as in returns provided in April 2006 or April 2007?
Bob

No offence but where at the NPWS did you get this from myself and a couple of others own things that arent on this record sheet (legally owned and accounted for),,,, maybe im just a skeptic but i dont think they sent you a complete listing.

I asked the licensing department for the list and this is what they emailed me. I have no idea how accurate it actually is.

Keep in mind that this list would only be up to 31st March 2007.

This list doesn't look to accurate to me.It would be good if they could send out an accurate list to go off so we all know whats out there.

Confirmation of species list

Good morning everyone,

I have been trying to establish exactly which data set had been posted to answer some of the questions that have been raised about its accuracy. I can confirm that this is data generated for the holdings year 2006 not 2007. This would explain why some of the species and breeding events are not shown.

The data quality includes all of those records submitted that could be matched to a licensee. Please note that this data set was pre barcode and thus if no name is entered into the FRB then the data cannot be allocated to a licence and thus not entered into the system. In addition the data would not include records that could not be deciphered due to hand writing, stains on books etc etc.

I will also take this opportunity to remind all of the NSW licensees that the holdings period is fast approaching so get your books ready.

We are trying to get the information for the 2007 period loaded as soon as possible. When it is finalised we will get it out. Just to allay some of the conspiracy theorists out there when data of this type is provided it is a complete cut of the data related to native reptile species as loaded into the system.

Hi Brendon,
Thanks for clarifying.
When do you think the holding up to April 2007 will be available?

We are overcoming a few database challenges at the moment. I hope to have this available in the next couple of months.
