Spotted enclosure

Hi all,
this semester im doing wood tech and we are aloud to make a cabinet?wardrobe type thing and i was going to ask my teacher if i could make a snake enclosure. Itll need sliding doors, a "lid" type thing (hollow for all the lighting etc) and it needs to made of pine, is this ok for an enclosure? how would i make it ok for the snake inside?
anyone got any plans/blueprints on an enclosure like this?
thanks

Building an Enclosure (by Darren Whittaker)

might be too big for your spotted, but this should get you started

G'day FTO,
I would suggest that you find the sizes you need for your enclosure and the style of door/opening you require and milk your Industrial Tech. teacher for all the assistance you can get, focusing primarily on the manufacture of the carcase.

The decor you chose for your enclosure and its development is something you can do at home but having the access to the machinery, material and know how you will get from school is not something every student has in their back shed.

I guess what I am trying to say is not to get carried away with the internal cosmetics of the project, You may have 20 weeks on paper to complete this project however, with all the little excursions, sporting trips and disruptions to normal lessons you may only have 15 weeks to get it done.

Best of luck and I will try to post some pics soon for some "research" to add to your design brief.

I wouldn't make it out of pine. Can usually be harmful to pythons.....
