While at the pet shop getting items to set up a home for my bluey, the woman mentioned a spray for logs that I get out of my garden to kill mites/ticks but as of yet haven't bought any. Do you guys bother or just wash and dry it?

Don't bother with it just, put it in some hot water.

i just disenfect it and give it a couple of washes in warm water

Soak it in HOT water and a bit of bleach. Then rinse.
