stimson enclosure heating question

hi guys just trying to sort out the heating in my enclosure in the hot end its about 31.5 at ground level(stimmy level) down the cool end about 27.5 pretty happy so far but now the dilemma the hide in the hot end small terracotta pot with hole cut in front stays a bit cooler about 30 tops and can drop down as low as 28.3 should i turn up the heat mind you this is without a snake in there as i wanted it all sorted before it came home when the snake is in the hide i know they are cold blooded but would the stored warmth add to overall heat in the hide sorry for all the questions but rather look a little silly than have a fatality on my hands
warm regards
symon
oh and my stimson is just a juvenile
