Study in Oz and getting a reptile license

Hello,

I have a question regarding getting a reptile license while studying in OZ.

Since Im not a "native" Australian, is it still possible for me to aquire a license so that I can keep carpet pythons while Im down there?

Brisbane or Sydney migth one of the places I should end up.

thank you for any respond

regards
Alexander

I can't answer your question, regarding your 'alien' status. However, here is a link to the EPA website. They control the licensing in QLD and you may be able to fire an email off to them to find out your answers. Keep the written answer and name you receive as reference.

In NSW yes,

as long as you have an address to put on your licence.

I have a few international student friends who have just got their class one licence

cheers

For a carpet python, the basic license is all that is required in QLD. It isn't hard to obtain, make your application, send in the fees and *kazaam* you have it.

Only thing that might be a problem is your residency status, but I doubt it.
