Question Substrate??

Is that wood shaving stuff people use inn mice and rat cages ok to use for your snakes? I have seen people using it and was wondering would my coastal pythons appreciate it?

Cheers.
Cal

i use aspen bedding, its great and the snakes seem to love it, if your using it though i dont think its smart to feed in the enclousure to avoid the snake swallowing any of the chippings

Newspaper, it might not look as flash, but it is cheap, practical, and easy to clean.

Also depends how many snakes you keep. If you just have one or two you might go with the other stuff, but get a few on board and you will use newspaper for these reasons.

'Breeders Choice' cat litter is also a good substrate for most reptiles, It's cheap, easy to clean and does a much better job than paper of absorbing any wastes
