Substrates

Hey people,
was just wondering if shredded paper would pass as a good substrate for my coastal python.
If i was to use it should i use new paper, newspaper shredded or just scrap paper with things printed on one side?

just plain newspaper unshredded does the trick!

I just use plain newspaper
