Swimming Snake?

Hello,

I was looking at Ziggy tonight and she has been going in and out of her water bowl a couple of times.. I managed to snap a quick picture or to. But not of her when she actually put her whole head under the water and was moving around..

Also, those black dots in the water aren't mites either... I checked them out after I saw the picture, it's little bits of bark from her branches.. I changed the water over and she's been back in there since and there's been nothing..

I had orginally thought that she might have mites, just from the 2 minutes she spent total of tonight swimming around, but I think it's more along the lines of, she's due to shed anytime soon, as it's been just over 5 weeks since her last shed and she's been feeding well.

Has anyone else caught their snake in their water and gotten pictures?

That's cool.. Ziggy's little water dish is kind of deep encough for her to be able to about 3/4 submerge herself under the water.

I had my water python out one time when i was sitting looking in my 6 foot fish tank and my water python got up on the tank, so i watched him to see what he would do and he then got in. he went all the way to the bottom and looked around for a couple of minutes the come to the top and stuck hie head out and left his body sub-merged. now he has a good sized water bowl so he can frequently bath.

My water python loves his water bowl too! I put a nice big one in his new enclosure and he quite enjoys it! My spotty is quite opposed to being in water... trying to bathe him is fun...

Water pythons loving water?! Who would've thought hahaha! They seem really cool.

My spotted only ever goes to his water to drink, doesn't ever get in - is this abnormal?
