Hi Every1,
Just wondering if anyone has experienced their turtles eyes swelling up and scabbing over then peeling off? I have 4 turtles and they all have done it. The 2 females of them aren't doing it anymore but the 2 males are.(They are different species).
I recently bought carbon to put in the filter but all it did was turn the water the colour of coke, i took it out and the water is clear again now. Don't know if that had anything to do with it?
If any one can help me it would be greatly appreciated.
regards
Woma Man

Change the water immediately. It sounds like you have something in there that is irritating their eyes.
Can you post some photos of the problem?

Get a water testing kit from an aquarium shop and as Michael suggests change the water but I'd go one further and clean out the tank and get new substrate etc.
What type of turtle are they and what temps are they at and their age etc. what are they eating
Have another go with the filter but set it up properly.
Tropical and subtropical turtles often get trouble like this with low temps.
