Just be careful on a warm day they heat up quite fast, make sure they are in the shade,

Someone here in Adelaide let an adult MD out for a walk and it nearly died from the heat of the sun.

I've taken my maccie outside and she seems to love it! But as she is quite small and no doubt looks quite tasty to the birds around the place, she's never more than about a foot away from me.

With smaller snakes always watch out for birds. I knew someone who had a maccie taken by a bird.

Yeah I took mine out the other day and almost straight away there were four crows hanging around just a couple of metres away.

I frequently take my Diamond Pythons outside - I figure you can't beat natural UV.

Also, they seem to wait for it now before defecating. My female, in particular, hates going in her enclosure and will hang on as long as she can. Typically, a week or so after feeding, I just leave her outside on the lawn and take a book with me. She's usually done within 20 minutes.

My snakes love it out on the grass. I only let the bigger slower ones down and the smaller, faster, crazier ones like the jungles stay on my arms and i just walk around with them just to be safe.

And u might wanna be sure that your neighbours wont mind especially if you live in a block of units.

Some of mine do that too. Mostly my big carpets. They dont mind going in their enclosure though but when they are on the grass they always go.

Concrete

I'd be carefull putting your animals down onto concrete when the weather heats up as they can get severely burnt. The mesh herpariums are the best way to go outdoors. Safe and escape proof if you lock the zipper.

I've always taken my babies outside - but only for a short time and only one at a time! I liove on a sugar cane farm so if they get in there - I'm sweet out of luck of ever finding them again.

They all exhibit diffierent personalities outside. One will try to run from me, the other can't wait to get back to me and another sniffs around like an excited puppy dog in overload!

I have read on this forum once about a bird carrying off a beloved pet snake. So yes, care is required.

But the UV from the sun is, in my opinion, essential for good health (balanced). As most of our pythons are nocturnal or at least dusk/dawn active - they would even limit their sun in the real world to.
